How do I wear my pieces?

Each piece from the Diane Kroe Collection is unique in that it can be worn multiple ways! Most of our pieces can be converted into 3 or 4 different styles. Your purchase includes a customized style guide specifically for the piece you bought. This style card gives you directions and image references to help you create all the different looks.

In addition, you can view videos for each piece on our website.. Find your piece in our Shop to see the corresponding video. You can't go wrong with all this help available.

Let YOUR creative juices flow and try making some of your own styles with your piece. As you grow your collection you will find the possibilities are endless!

What fabrics do you use?

We us only the best travel perfect fabrics on the market focusing on comfort, elegance, easy care and wrinkle free.  For this we focous on technical fabrics with Microfibre/Poly, Nylon and Spandex/Elastane/Lycra.  We also include natural fibres in our collection for those who prefer environmentally friendly options.

Note* Natural fibres are more delicate and not as durable and may need to be replaced more often.

Our Venezia fabric is a high quality poly/spandex blend (92% poly and 8% spandex). This luxe travel friendly material is silky to the touch and drapes beautifully over your curves. Our signature styles are rarely clingy and cut away from the body creating timeless designs that flow, change and adapt to you.

The 8% spandex allows our garments to be flexible enough to fit all sizes and body types comfortably, yet will return back to its original shape. The 92% poly gives our styles the ability to be easy-care, wrinkle-resistant and quick-drying. It also adds a slightly silky, dressier texture without compromising durability.

How do I clean my Diane Kroe pieces?

All of our pieces are machine wash and hang dry for best results.  On vacation with no washer? Don't sweat it! Simply wash in the sink of your hotel room and hang dry. All of our pieces dry very quickly so it will be ready to wear again in no time.

Remember, when washing your Diane Kroe pieces in a washing machine, place in a mesh bag and do not wash with towels (for risk of pilling). Cold water wash delicate and lay flat or hang to dry for best results.

NOTE** When washing avoid Kleenexes in pockets and terrycloth fabrics like towels as the fibres will attach to your garments and ball causing a pilling like effect (this is for all garments not only DK products).

Will my garment pill?

Pilling could occur when rubbing on a rough surface such as a raw leather strap or buckle on a shoulder bag, sequins can be nasty for all types of fabrics, seatbelts on older cars that have begun to fray. Also avoid contact with velcro on outerwear jackets and avoid washing with towels, Kleenex and any other object that sheds fibres. Double check your jewelry such as long necklaces to make sure they don't have any attachments that can easily catch on fabrics. At Diane Kroe we guarantee all of our pieces so if you feel there is a pilling issue that is a mystery please contact us and we'll be happy to look into it. We will send the garment to our fabric supplier and they will lab test it to see how the pilling occurred.

NOTE** Fabrics made with natural fibres will breakdown faster than technical fibres so pilling will eventually occur over an extended period of time. If you want to give your garments a longer life just use a garment shaver or even a regular razor and gently shave off the pilled area.

How does the fabric fare in a very high humidity climate with considerable sweating? Will the sweat show readily?

In high humidity I find the fabric fine but of course I prefer styles without sleeves. The Venezia Travel fabric is like any workout wear with a wick-away detail. This means perspiration is absorbed then drys quickly.  I usually wear halter styles in the heat but if you need a sleeve use the styles where the sleeve is not close to the underarm like the Origami or One 4 All top.

What are your sizes?

Our sizes start at XS which is our size 0 and XXXL which is our size 6. See our size chart for accurate measurements here.

What does the model wear as under garments to keep from having  panty lines or bra lines?

Our models usually wear a smooth (no lace) strapless halter bra or regular bra. Undergarments too are usually nude colour and smooth. Most of our designs are cut away from the body to camouflage lines or double paneled in the bust area so they are not see through and have extra support. Depending on your build you may not need a bra with some of our designs as we have elastic and reinforcement built into the bust area.

I’m curvy; do you have clothes for me?

We sure do! At Diane Kroe we love our curvy goddesses! You’ll find models of all sizes demonstrating how versatile our pieces are at all of our shows. Check out our style gallery to see customers who have shared photos of themselves in our collection.

Do you offer custom sizing?

Heck yes we offer custom sizing! Contact us and we can give you a custom quote.

Where is the collection made?

We are very proud to say that all of our pieces are locally hand made in Toronto, Canada. Special thanks to our incredible sewer Bob - He's the best!

Where do you ship?

We can pretty much ship anywhere.

How long will it take till my order arrives?

Most of our designs are made to order and shipped within 2 weeks being our normal turn around time. If we are super busy it may take a bit longer but well worth the wait. If you have a special date you need your order by just let us know in the "order notes" when making your purchase.

Important Notice: If you require expedited delivery for your order, expedited shipping fees may apply. All orders with Free and Standard Shipping automatically include insurance coverage up to $100. Additional insurance options are available for your consideration. Please be aware that in the event of a claim, we can only replace items up to the amount of insurance purchased.

Who pays duties…?

The purchaser is responsible for any additional duties or fees incurred during shipping to the US or Internationally. Though U.S. customers can purchase up to $800 Canadian duty free.

Note: We want to make your shopping experience as seamless as possible. Please note that taxes and duties associated with your purchase are the responsibility of the customer. These charges may vary based on your country's regulations and are not included in the product price or shipping fees. We recommend checking with your local customs office for more information. How can I track….?

We will send you a tracking number as soon as your order has been shipped. Orders over seas will not get a tracking number to keep shipping fees reasonable but we do have include extra insurance. If you would like a tracking number let us know and we will add the extra fee onto your order.

U.S. and overseas customers must have "Canadian Goods Being Returned" in bold letters on the outside of their package.

In addition, if your order includes custom pieces, we will graciously donate them on your behalf to our selected charity, extending the spirit of giving and supporting causes that align with our values.

While we understand the desire for flexibility, we kindly ask that customers refrain from purchasing items at a discount and then exchanging them for different items at subsequent trunk shows. Our business operates on a made-to-order model, and excessive returns can impact our ability to sustainably manage our inventory and operations. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

What can I expect if I choose Free Shipping? 

All orders with Free and Standard Shipping automatically include tracking and insurance coverage up to $100. Additional insurance options are available for your consideration. Please be aware that in the event of a claim, we can only replace items up to the amount of insurance purchased.  Standard shipping can take anywhere from 3 to 14 business days depending where you live in U.S. and Canada.  Overseas may very depending on the country. 

What if I need my package in a rush?

If you require expedited delivery for your order, expedited shipping fees may apply. 

Where are you located?

Diane Kroe is based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada but thanks to the internet we are everywhere.

Do you provide Return Label when sending back an item?

We are a small business and don't supply return labels. Simply follow the details on this link Exchanges and Shipping. We will be happy to make adjustments or exchange your dress for something else.

What if I lose my style card?

No problem! We have online videos for every piece in our collection. You can also download a new style guide for each piece by clicking the style guide for the piece in the gallery. You can also contact us for an email copy.

I didn't receive my package. What to do?

I'm sorry to hear about the stolen packages. Here are some steps to consider:

1. **Check your credit card purchase protection:** Many credit cards offer reimbursement for stolen items, especially if the purchase was made entirely with that card. Notify your card issuer within the specified timeframe.

2. **Verify coverage details:** Some credit cards may have exclusions or limitations for high-value items. Check your credit card provider's website for coverage details and file a claim accordingly.

3. **File a police report if required:** Certain credit card companies may require a police report before processing a refund. Be sure to follow their specific procedures.

4. **Explore homeowners or renters insurance:** Your insurance policy may cover stolen packages, particularly for high-value items. However, consider the deductible and potential premium increases before filing a claim.

5. **Assess the value of the lost item:** For high-value purchases, like a complete travel wardrobe of 4 or more pieces, consider investing in additional insurance when ordering online. We offer this option for a few extra dollars when checking out.

Who owns Diane Kroe?

How do I measure my inseam?

Simply find a pair of pants you already own that are the perfect length and measure from the seam between the legs and the hem. See image below.

How do I stop Merino Wool from feeling itchy?

Some customers may be sensitive to our Merino Wool Bamboo Jersey. Though we try or very best to be itch free any kind of wool can be annoying for those who have super sensitive skin.  To fix the problem follow the details below.
  1. Soak it in cold water and a few tablespoons of white vinegar for 15 minutes, making sure that all the fibers are thoroughly saturated. Drain.
  2. While the item is still wet, gently massage a generous amount of hair conditioner into the fibers. Avoid stretching the fibers, and don’t use a cheap hair conditioner, since those usually contain waxes that will cause a weird buildup.

  3. Let the conditioner sit on the garment fibers for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cold water. Gently press excess water out of the knit, being careful not to stretch the garment out of shape.

  4. Dry it flat on a towel. Once it’s fully dry, fold it neatly and place it in a large ziplock bag.

  5. Now place the itchy item in the freezer and let it sit overnight. In the morning: No more itchiness!

Q: Can I receive a cash refund if I used a gift card to make a purchase?

A: No, we do not offer cash refunds for purchases made with gift cards. Refunds can only be credited back to the credit cards used to buy the gift cards once we receive the returned merchandise.

You may return the items to us in their original condition, and we will process the refund accordingly.

    • Yes, we are happy to accommodate customizations for customers who require sizes outside of our standard off-the-rack measurements for an additional fee.

    • We offer customizations such as adjustments to measurements for a better fit, alterations to garment lengths, and other modifications as requested by the customer.
  3. Is there a fee for customizations?
    • Yes, there is a customization fee of $25 per customization to cover the additional time and resources required to tailor the garments to your specifications.
  4. How do I request customizations for my order?
    • Simply leave your measurements and any specific customization requests in the order notes section during checkout.
  5. When will I be billed for the customization fee?
    • After placing your order, we will review your customization requests. If additional charges apply, we will send you a customization invoice for the $25 fee.
  6. Will I be notified if there are any questions about my order or measurements?
    • Yes, our team will carefully review your customization notes. If we have any questions or need clarification about your order or measurements, we will contact you before proceeding further.
  7. How long does it take to process customizations?
    • Customizations may add an additional 4-6 weeks to the processing time of your order. We strive to complete customizations as efficiently as possible while maintaining our quality standards.
  8. Can I return or exchange customized items?
    • Due to the personalized nature of customizations, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on customized items unless there is a defect in workmanship or materials.
  9. Do you offer customizations for all products?
    • Customizations are available for most of our products. However, customizations are not available on trunk show or ready-made sale items. They are only applicable to our regular made-to-order collections. Please contact our customer service team for more information.
  10. Can I cancel or modify my customization request after placing my order?
    • If you need to cancel or modify your customization request, please contact us as soon as possible. Depending on the status of your order, we may be able to accommodate your request. However, once production has begun, changes may not be possible.
